As you know that, A computer is built from various components like Keyboard, Mouse, CPU, Monitor etc. Without all these components operating a computer is not easy as all these components are used to give instructions to computer or used to display the results.

In computing, Input means giving some instructions so we can say that, Input Devices are those devices which we can use to give instructions to computer. Now you can say what are the names of these input devices? These input devices are Keyboard, Mouse, Scanner, Joysticks, Light-pen and Microphone etc.

In computing, Output means showing the results of instructions what has given to computer by input devices. So we can say that Output Devices are those devices which is used by a computer to show the results what had instructed to computer. Some of the names of output devices of computer are Monitor, Printer, Speaker etc.

In simple terms, We can say that devices that we used to give instructions to computer called Input Devices and devices that are used by a computer to display results are called Output Devices.

Keyboard: Keyboard is an input devices which is used to give instructions to computer. Its looks similar to traditional typewriter. By using keyboard you can type anything in computer.

Mouse: A mouse is also an input device of computer. By using mouse you can click and give instructions to computer.

Scanner: A scanner is an input device which is used to scan any picture or document in computer.

Joysticks: A joystick is an input devices which is used in computer gaming.

Lightpen: A light pen is also an input device which is used to give instructions to computer. By using light pen you can directly write something to monitor.

Output Devices

Monitor: A monitor is an output device which is used to display results. Its looks similar to a TV.

Printer: A printer is also an output devices which is used to print documents and images.

Speaker: A speaker is also an output device which is used to listen sound from computer.
